The beginning of a new year always brings forth memories of the previous one, and a renewed sense of hope & optimism for the year ahead. For me, this optimism takes the form of family..for the one I have already been blessed with, and the for the little one who I'm even more excited to welcome into the world.
The importance of family becomes even more prominent during weddings. One of my favorite moments during the day is seeing all the images of the bride & groom documenting every stage of their lives up to this point--from their precious newborn photos to their adorable childhood and onward through their awkward teenage years, it melts my heart each time I stop to think about how life passes by so quickly in the grand scheme of things, and how important it is to make time for the people we love.
I'm sharing some images from a sweet wedding for a dear friend that I had the honor of styling earlier last year just a month before we found out that we would were expecting a sweet little one that, at the size of a blueberry, welcomed me into the early stages of motherhood with the gnarliest morning sickness for nearly 4 months--no joke! But sickness aside, this wedding was special for me not only because the couple happens to be my darling friends, but because it reaffirmed my belief in the significance of family. The two of them decided to host an intimate celebration surrounded by their closest family members in their hometown, and the groom even serenaded his gushing bride during the ceremony. I can't tell you how much joy it brings me to bear witness to such amazing life moments between two people. Congrats again, E + D!
